The Lanyap Story

Lanyap (also known formally as lagniappe) is a small gift given to a customer by a merchant at the time of a purchase, such as a 13th cookie or donut when buying a dozen, or more broadly something given or obtained gratuitously or by way of good measure; a bonus.

Lanyap Publications LLC, comprised of Cathy Scarbrough and Stephanie Ujhelyi, began in 2008 to distribute publications geared to cat breeders and exhibitors. The Long & The Short of It was the initial effort as a quarterly publication geared to Persian and exotic cat exhibitors.

However, The L&S expanded its audience to include all recognized breeds starting with its Fall 2009 issue.

As our own little dose of "lanyap," we publish an annual calendar (if interest exists) that all of our subscribers receive as a bonus to their regular magazine.

Subscribers also enjoy promotional opportunities through our complementary submissions as well as various types of paid advertising opportunities.
